GHMC Results 2020 out! Victory goes to the hands of TRS

GHMC Results out! Victory goes to the hands of TRS

  • Polling for Greater Hyderabad Municipal begun on last Friday extracting its final decisions yesterday on 4th of November, 2020. TRS evolved itself to be the greatest party solely with 55 seats. What shocked the announcement is the advancement of BJP that was just 7 seats behind the success.
  • The massive majority of BJP has now assured that TRS has a strong competitor on his track. TRS was believed to be the default winner but the majority of BJP slashed many believers and non-believers. Hence, a loud crowd of victory was seen to be celebrated grandly by the Bhajpians (BJP).
  • GHMC election results of 146 of total 150 wards are declared from which 55 seats are won by TRS, 48 by BJP, 44 by AIMIM, and just 2 seats by the Congress party.
  • Although TRS emerged to be the single largest party to represent in the council, yet lost 10-12 divisions with an extreme low-wide margin. A loss of 10-12 divisions signify a shortage in 20-25 seats. Victory is a practical and outer feeling, but one could easily sense the tense developing between the TRS community. Results were claimed to be unexpected.
  • However, officials of each party claimed to witness any kind of nuisance or fraudulency during the polling and voting. Here, no one is to be blamed. The entire election was fairly conducted and competitively.
  • The shifting of the votes from TRS to other emerging parties clarify that public demands a change. TRS has been an advantageous ruling dynasty since the decades until unveiling several norms beyond the public expectations. Henceforth, the demands are heard in terms of votes this year giving en-route for BJP and AIMIM to rule ahead in 2023 elections.
  • 2020 has been the year of a drastic change in the human history. Same goes with that of the TRS in several decades. Although TRS has the government power, yet couldn’t resist the fact of having two strong contenders on its either side. From 99 seats a downfall to 55 was not a motivating sight.

  • Wards listed on the table structured above, say the following:
  • 37 ward-seats were shifted from TRS to BJP comparable to the GHMC Election, 2016 and 2020 respectively.
  • Only 1 seat got transferred from AIMIM to BJP in 2020.
  • 42 seats of AIMIM depicts no change. No such shifting of votes has been taken place since the year 2016 and 2020. It seems the regions voting for AIMIM are stubborn and happy with their services and guidelines.
  • Shockingly, there is no sign of TDP in the entire list of 2020 GHMC election. The party currently gets counted within the “Others”.
  • The number of INC favouring wards are 2 equivalents to that of 2016. But the region/ particular wards are shifted in the course of time.
  • 2 wards those used to favour TRS in 2016, have substituted INC over TRS in 2020.
  • The newly elected GHMC members will have to wait for two months to take oath. It is due to the current GHMC council that will last till February 10. This delay was an obvious factor as the election this year were conducted early.
  • As of now the results have been declared, the state government and the State Election Commission will publish a gazette notification holding the name of the corporators or the winning candidates for the mayor and deputy mayor election.

American Election 2020: Joe wins America with a majority!

  • Joseph R. Biden Jr. was elected the 46th president of the United States on Nov. 7. Mr. Biden defeated President Trump after winning Pennsylvania, which put his total of Electoral College votes above the 270 he needed to clinch the presidency. Biden won the election with 306 votes against 232 votes from Trump.
  • The certification of the results was officially announced by the states after the disputed ballots were reviewed and post-election audits were conducted for double-checking accuracy. Even the party official on either side confirmed about hardly any fraudulent activities while the 2020 presidential election was in progress.
  • The victory of the Democratic Party after the declaration marginalized 12,670 votes for Biden with a lead of 0.2% over Trump.
  • Since 1860’s, the United States has got two major ruling parties namely the Republic Party, and the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party has the greatest number of seats in the House of Representatives while the Republicans hold a majority in the United States Senate. Apart from these two primary political parties, the next three largest parties are the Libertarian Party, Green Party, and the Constitutional Party in a respective order. For the 2020 election, the Democratic Party achieved 80,117,578 votes, Republicans scored 73,923,495 in total, Libertarian with 1,856,340, and Green with 392,160.
  • The respective representatives to the above given parties were such as:
  • Joe Biden represented the Democratic Party
  • Donald Trump presented the Republic Party
  • Jo Jorgensen for the Libertarian
  • Howie Hawkins and Jesse Ventura for the Green Party
  • Some of the previous representatives of the two chief parties include:
  • Democratic Party: Andrew Jackson; Franklin D. Roosevelt; John F. Kennedy; Bill Clinton; Barack Obama; Joe Biden, the 46th President of America, 2020, etc.
  • Republic Party: Abraham Lincoln; Theodore Roosevelt; Ronald Reagan; George Bush; and the most recent ex-president and the 45th President of America, Donald Trump, and many more.
  • The battleground states for the election mainly were Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Nevada. Other minor states included Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, etc.
  • “Flipped seat” denotes a race where the 2020 projected winner is from a different party than the previous winner or incumbent. These flipping states for Biden were non-white population in maximum than the nation as a whole. They were less wealthy than the average American household and had fewer four-year college graduates than the average state.
  • The current lead in Pennsylvania is on the top with more than 81,000 votes. Several other prominent states elected the Republicans nationally by defending Trump’s campaign.
  • Sources report that Michele Flournoy could be the first female to run Pentagon. She is probably picked up by Joe Biden as one of the three appropriate nominees for appointing as the secretary of Pentagon. If the announcement goes confirmed in favour with Flournoy, she beside being the first female secretary of Pentagon will be a possible gateway for the unprecedented number of women to senior roles at the Defence Department. The resistance from progressive democrats is an obvious but the upcoming Tuesday that is, 1st of December will be considered as the first step towards improvements in the positions of the women of America. One of the most famous officials straight in favour with the decision is Michelle Howard, the retired United States Navy four-star vice admiral currently leading the Biden-Harris agency review team at the Pentagon.

The American Presidential Election has just begun and the effects of Biden’s power has already shown the effect. Other than the widespread rumours of Michele Flournoy, the strings of Feminism pins Kamala Harris as well on the board.

Kamala Harris, the half-Indian-American born lady is a multi-talented U.S. Senator stood beside Biden to bid herself for the presidency. She is believed to be the first woman ever to stand for the presidential election from a Democratic Party.

Several treasury picks by Biden declared on media majorly included Michele Flournoy, and Kamala Harris. Mrs. Harris has been specially handpicked for the Vice-president post for secretly gaining the majority of the votes obtained from the Indians living in the United States. Whatever reason it may be, but it is obvious and clear that she is capable enough to deserve the post.

Gossips have begun and Harris’s election has confirmed the brightside of her spouse, which ever had taken place in the American History. Doug Emhoff, the spouse of Mrs. Harris is believed to be the First ever “Second Citizen” in the histories of America.

A change has already shown up with brighter effects. Only it is the time to wait for more new victories to see.

  • There were 1212 candidates who filled to run, including:
  • 323 number of Democratic candidates
  • 164 were of Republicans
  • 65 from Libertarians
  • 23 from the Green party
  • Unlike India’s assembly constituencies and members of the parliaments, where candidate represents, both the party as well as a selected place or region to propose commoners for an urge to vote them, the United States Presidential Election is unique in its own way.
  • No matter how influential you are, but certain rules are strictly followed to be the first citizen of US. Starting from the Citizenships, Age limits to the Qualifications, etc. and a strong ideological background can help a candidate to step closer to become the first person. Henceforth, instead of the constituencies, the focus goes more on to the party representation, votes, and popularity.

NDA wins the Bihar Election Result 2020: A nail-biting finish

Sponsored Links
  • The winning party, National Democratic Alliance defeated the opposition with 125 seats in just 14 hours of voting. The opposition included the joint alliance between NDA, RJD (Rastriya Janata Dal), Congress, and other left parties was left behind with 110 seats in total. Despite the alliance, RJD emerged to be the single largest party to win 75 seats alone. The left parties scored 16 out of total 28 contested seats. NDA was led by Nitish Kumar whereas Tejaswi Yadav was the representative of RJD-alliance.
  • Impressive win of NDA over 74 seats defeated the critics who imagined the party to decline soon. But the year 2020 came out with a new image reflected over who even had the strongest seat holders. The victory still made a column for RJD for its good performance in growing itself and helping the minorities to also grow.
  • Certainly, Nitish Kumar is brought to you back for the fourth time as the Chief Minister of Bihar, continuing since the year, 2015. It is the same year when Nitish chose to join RJD-Congress alliance in 2015. But 2017, turned JDU into a weak foot after getting settled with BJP. The comparison was such that it won just 43 seats as compared to the 71 seats in 2017.
  • The Mahagathbandan constituents’ tallies were as follows: RJD (75), Congress (10), CPI (2), CPM (2), CPI M-L (12).
  • Election Commission website first declared the following election result after NDA crossed the half way mark of 122.
  • The Bihar election was conducted in a peaceful voting organised system without any re-polling. No such fraudulent activities were witnessed or probably conducted while the election process was in progress. Even the officials of both the parties agreed with the fair conduct of the entire event. The result victory was carefully managed appropriately tackling with the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The election result was the victory of the development works in Bihar, underlining the deserving candidate and the party to win over the Bihar. The voters were unbiased with majority of poor and the Dalits from Bihar localities.
  • Sources reported that LJP chief Chirag Paswan, the son of Late MP and Union Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, preferred not to continue supporting Nitish Kumar, as within the state, they are yet the oppositions. Instead the support from the party will always be towards PM Modi at the centre.
  • The other minor parties beside LJP were BSP and AIMIM. Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of AIMIM won 3 seats the election but has set significant inroads towards the Simanchal region with majority of Muslim voters. The AIMIM was alliance with Mayawati’s BSP bagging one seat as well.
  • There are 243 assembly constituencies or Vidhan Sabha seats in Bihar with 36.8% votes share comprised of BJP, 27.8% share of RJD, 25.3% of the JDU part, and the rest 10.1% is the share of INC. While the number of assembly constituencies are 243, the Loksabha Constituencies are 40 in number.
  • The major differences between the 2015 and the 2020 Bihar Assembly Constituencies Election result are as follows:
  • While there was no lead, BJP/NDA won 74 seats in the year, 2020 while 53 seats in the year, 2015.
  • In the year 2015, the victory was on the side of the Grand Alliance of JDU-RJD-Congress with 178 seats. The same year BJP won just 59 seats.
  • Although within this year 2020, RJD was the major most party with 75 seats, yet due to the grand-alliance margin, the victory was on the hands of NDA/BJP.
  • Following the event, Chirag Pawan’s LPJ is no longer considered to be in an alliance with NDA, within the assembly election. Meanwhile, Jitan Ram Manjhi of HAM, and Mukesh Sahni’s VIP is believed to be accommodated with the JDU and BJP’s quota while contesting the seats.

How to find polling station number in Telangana?

A polling station or polling booth is a place where voters visit to cast their ballots during elections. The area is often called a ward, precinct, polling district, or constituency. It is staffed by officials who are professionally called election judges, or returning officers. They are responsible for monitoring voting procedures and assisting the voters with the election processes.

It is necessary to find the polling station in a concerned location as they are one of the essential elements of an electoral process. These areas or booths are essential for ensuring freedom and secrecy of the votes.

Initial days witnessed the political parties going door to door to help the voters identify their polling booth. Due to advances, ECI decided to provide voter identity slips to each eligible voter on the polling day specifying accurate polling booths. The voter ID slips are also advantageous for using it as an alternation to EPIC identity. The ECI stated that voter slips likely take away by a few political parties who were unlikely to cast them their votes.

Timings for casting your valuable vote: 7 am to 6 pm.

Identifying Polling Booth Location in a Google Map:

  • Find the Polling Station given in your voter slip
  • Enter the name of the state, district, and the account (assembly constituency)
  • Enter the Polling Station (given in your voter slip)

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Elections 2020

Sponsored Links

The election commission of a state is a liberal autonomous institution governed without any superficial ascendancies. The institute is located in every state of India, and is responsible for constituting elections and its processes and decisions within that particular state. Beginning from the registrations to result declaration processes, every action and decision is carried in a conference with the state government. Voting procedures may vary from state to state. They can either be through classical Ballot Paper method or through modern Electronic Voting Machines.

In Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, GHMC (The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) is considered to be the election governing civic body responsible for overseeing Hyderabad as well the twin city, Secunderabad. This municipal corporation was founded on 1869. It was founded along with the Chaderghat municipal board.

Parthasarathy, the State Election Commissioner (SEC) at a press conference following the vote counting from 4th of December. The press conference released the nomination dates from 18th of November, 2020 to 30th of November, 2020 by placing an immediate effect on election codes. Electoral rolls will be displayed on 18th of November, 2020.
  • When question was asked to SEC regarding the lack of time for the political parties to prepare for the election process, the reply by Mr. Parthasarathy was the new GHMC Act. This new act states that the dates for the election processes is decided by consulting the state government.
  • Accordingly, participants in the present year may aggregate around 74 lakhs from which around 38 lakh members shall be men, 35 lakhs registered for women, and almost 669 voters are for the exceptional categories. 2700 polling stations across the state were witnessed to be problematic. The change of the party took place even after the names of the candidates for the poll are announced.

Responsibilities include administering of the four major districts by facilitating basic infrastructures, building and maintaining of roads, streets, and flyovers. Cleanliness measures such as garbage disposing systems, maintaining of parks and open spaces, urban development, and city planning.
