The counting of votes for the 9^th phase of the 2021 Bihar Panchayat Elections has been completed and the results of the election are out. The Bihar Panchayat Elections 2021 are being held in 11 phases, the first phase of the election was conducted on 24^th September 2021 and the final phase i.e., the 11^th phase is scheduled to be held on 12^th December 2021. The 9^th phase of the elections was conducted on 29^th November during which polls were contested in 53 blocks across 35 districts of Bihar. A total of 97,878 candidates contested in the 9^th phase of the 2021 Bihar Panchayat Elections.

The voting was conducted with tight security at the voting booths to prevent any violent incidents, for the counting of the votes too, multi-layer security arrangements were made on counting day – 1^st December 2021 to ensure peaceful counting of votes. Magistrates were appointed at counting venues to ensure smooth proceedings. The 97.878 candidates were vying for the posts of Zilla Parishad member, Mukhiya, Panchayat Samiti Member, Ward Member, Panch & Sarpanch.

Staqu, an AI implementation & enabler services firm had tied up with the Bihar State Election Commission to introduce automated vote-counting in the state. Staqu’s proprietary Video Analytics system called JARVIS was deployed for counting votes by monitoring the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) screens at the poll-counting stations. JARVIS is an AI-powered analytical software developed by Staqu.
